The Interview
Congratulations for being invited to interview with LBS! Here you will find some helpful hints and information on the LBS interview, which I personally found very useful.
Hi I am jai from India.just completed engineering in biotech with cgpa of abt 8.34 I do not hav any work exp.At the moment, i am preparing for GMAT,will giv it in sept.Aiming for LBS MiM 2012 programme I want to know how much of a chance i stand if i get a GMAT score of about 700.My extra cirriculars are average.was an active elocutionist and quizzer in school.I also help my father with his pharmaceuticals business but not on a full time basis.a Also what would my job prospects be?Is this degree recognised everywhere in the world? Considering the downturn in the UK would i be eligible for jobs elsewhere like singapore, australia etc?
Essays and application deadlines for Fall 2012 entry have not been posted. I just checked today. I am feeling anxious and want to get started already!
As for those who asked about their chances based on gmat. I know someone who got into LBS with a gmat score of 620; however, she has a really fantastic story and a harvard undergrad to compensate for the low score.
My gmat score is also 700. In my humble opinion, as long as it is 700 and above, the gmat score alone cannot keep you out. So at this point, it's really about your story and also your extracurricular activities that will form a holistic picture of what kind of candidate you are (and how competitive you are).
Would everyone mind sharing their post-MBA goals?
I would personally like to go the entrepreneur route, focusing on new media and mobile.
