Hi Adrian.
This is a "reconcile the discrepancy" question.
The option that would be the answer might say something like this: THOSE GUYS ACTUALLY USED THE GMAT EXAM AS THEIR PREPARATORY CATS! or FOR THESE GUYS, THE NUMEROUS GMAT EXAM SERVED THE PURPOSE VARIOUS PREP CATS WILL SERVE FOR ADAN WITHOUT WITHOUT OFFERING THEM ANY ECONOMIC MARGIN HAD THEY USED THE CATS.
or even still.
THE GMAT EXAM PROVIDED FOR THOSE GUYS A BETTER REALITY CHECK FOR THE EXAM THAN THAT WHICH ANY CAT WOULD PROVIDE.

THE NUMBER OF GMATs YOU TAKE DOES NOT COUNT IN YOUR APPLICATION, RATHER YOUR HIGHEST SCORE DOES.

Adrian all of the above can be used as the CORRECT answer to that discrepancy question you threw at us.
Uhhmm, me I wouldnt prep to take GMAT twice.


Ar you sure that "THE NUMBER OF GMATs YOU TAKE DOES NOT COUNT IN YOUR APPLICATION, RATHER YOUR HIGHEST SCORE DOES." A school will see ALL your GMAT results for the past five years. Can you take the chance for your dream school to see that you sat the exam three times and scored low on first two attempts? Yes, this shows determination... but it is still better to sit it only once and get your target score. In my view.

Many people like me book the test date first and then start their prep.
This not only gives us the motivation, but also let us manage our schedule accordingly.
Obviously we could have postponed the exam by a month(that would cost another 50-60 $ + added anxiety) , but I guess the inner self still wants you to go and take the exam on the given date hoping to reach 700+.
If you are scoring 680-690 on your mocks you would hope to cross 700 on the d Day, but there is always that uncertainty.
Anyways you have a valid point and this time I have decided that until and unless I do not score 720+ on my mocks, I will not book the dates.

Agreed, but the schools will not see your score if you cancel your score.
This is the new feature introduced last year. For ex : I knew that I would not accept anything below 700 on my GMAt so as soon as I saw 670 , I cancelled the score.
Now nobody know if I took the GMAT or not.

Hello everyone
I am giving my test by the end of this month so far i have given three mocks
my first test was gmatprep 670 q47 v35
2nd was manhattan 1 550 q40 v25 (i was shocked)
3rd manhattan 2 600 q43 v31 (i was almost dead)
I have revised all my cr concepts but each day my mistakes in CR are increasing..:( Please help me out
i am done with veritas, manhattan and OG

As the exam is closer and application of concepts/tricks learnt for CR is not giving better result, It is better to focus only on official questions for practice. Following would help you as a source of practice:

3. GMAT Prep questions - the-most-comprehensive-collection-of-everything-official-cr-140375.html#p1129824

5. Gmat Prep Question Pack - search.php?search_id=tag&tag_id=514

The Key to do better in CR is to read the concepts and apply them on official questions. Then do the thorough analysis for each question and its each answer choice. If you are still not able to explain why a choice is wrong or right then ask Experts on gclub :).

i have completed cr from verbal review and i scored 71/83 (85%)...i am not happy cuz it must be more than 90%

I just started to practice SC and CR questions in Vertias Question bank and eGmat and was disappointed with the scores as I could not get past 50-60%. I don't think any shortcuts exist for CR. More you practice the better you become. Solve at least 30 CR questions every day.

How's it coming along Nevernevergiveup?

My test is on Tuesday, so final review session is today. Just going over my notes and knocking out some easy questions in all of the sections.

I am looking forward to trying the pilot program. I am doing Quant-Verbal-Essay-IR, hopefully I get a good bump in my score!

I also got a 640 in my last GMAT and stuck below 700-almost same position as yours. Got 610 in veritas prep a week back-any idea about accuracy of veritas cats and how much the difference is?

I also got a 640 in my last GMAT and stuck below 700-almost same position as yours. Got 610 in veritas prep a week back-any idea about accuracy of veritas cats and how much the difference is?


I did not give a veritas prep test till now. I gave kaplan, Mgmat and 800 tests. The real GMAT score I got after Mgmat and other tests is almost similar to the mock test scores without much difference.

I am good in mathematics basically(Not best but good) being an engineer.
I did go through Manhattan books long before. They can help you really well to get your basics clear and also few tips.
Then if needed go through some reputed sources such as Magoosh, Vertias prep etc. That should be enough for you when you supplement these with OG, Gmat prep official sources.
