read this on the BW forum...interesting, not sure if it is legit or not
"hi all,
I submitted R1. Due to MIT's privacy notice, Im not going to give too much information but ive been contacted by sloan and have been asked to retake the GMAT and follow up with my increased score by 01/15. So no interview but no rejection either. I guess that's a good thing right?
good luck to all R1 applicants! Back to the books it is for me! Gosh I thought I was done! lol

Someone on BW pasted a comment from one of those online chats with MIT adcoms in which one of them stated that interviews start on the 8th. That doesn't seem too feasible at this point!

From what I remember reading, that seemed pretty rare, and late in the game (like mid-January). But maybe I read something different than what you read, so who knows. And yes, an adcom said they would start Cambridge interviews on Dec 8 (it was in one of the accepted.com chats). So maybe they're behind, or maybe they're still planning on trying to get local candidates from Boston to interview during the early part of next week. I suppose we could speculate forever on this, though, and never get anywhere.
