Hey guys, as far as the supplemental information, so you just list them? There are several items in that list (extra curriculars, awards, etc) plus I also want to discuss issues with my academic performance. I guess just list them one by one?

in the supplemental essay, it was asked

3. List your hobbies, interests, and activities, including any significant accomplishments related to them.

Are we suppose to list them separately? I don't really understand the difference between them.
Do you guys list them even if you had no significant accomplishments?

Try to bring it within 525. Usually cutting 5 words is easy.

How to start the cover letter?

After addressing the admissions director, what to write?

Should I tell, why am i writing the letter and then start with the goals and why mba and why MIT? Or is there any other way?

I had problems with Sloan's essays but at the end I think I did a great job, let's see if Mr. Rod Garcia and his crew think the same.

Good Luck to all with MIT.

For the supplemental information where it asks for leadership positions you have held. Did you write about stuff during college or just since graduating?

I didnt want it to look like a laundry list. I listed only my post collegiate positions. Also MIT cares about recent experiences than ones too far in the past. I graduated from college 7 years ago, so it didnt make sense to list activities from then. If you are a recent graduate, then its a different situation and you may be better off listing leadership positions from back in college.

Both the reccos in. Phew!

I was worried a bit coz I was unable to get in touch with 1 of my reccomenders. Then, out of the blue, MIT sends an email that my recco is complete and then my recommender sends me an email with a copy of the recommendation and a smiley tacked on at the end. At least his recco is awesome, so I can forgive him for playing havoc with my cardiac health.

Now lets hope he sends in the Ross recco on time.

I made bullet points, like:
*10K runner, best time 48min, participated in half-marathon of...

And so on, listing my hobbies and interests and some accomplishments related to them.
