Hi guys! Quick question. Do you know if the Stern Scholarship is renewable for the second year?
Cheers…

It should indicate in your scholarship letter whether or not it is renewable for a 2nd year. As for renewal, you have to meet the eligibility requirements as per your scholarship's web page, also provided in your scholarship letter (generally this is just a 3.0+ GPA and nothing criminal/fraudulent happening)

I submitted the Stern application minutes before the deadline on January 15th. I received an interview invite on Thursday, March 15th at 12:25pm PST. There are on-campus interview slots up until April 26th. Hope this helps! Quick question though - once you interview, how quickly do they notify you of a final decision?

After the interview, you are told that a decision will be rendered within 3 weeks. Looking back on the forum though, it seems that a majority of people here back between 1-2 weeks.

Thanks for the info packfan!

Hi there, does anyone know how long does it take to receive the confirmation that Kroll check is OK? I am an international, so I assume mine will take longer. Looking at last year thread some people waited more than 8 weeks! I am looking forward quiting my job and I would feel better to be over with the Kroll thing before quiting.

Interviewed on 3/6, admitted today. Happy Pi day!

Congrats! Question to you and other admitted candidates...

At the end of my interview the admissions officer said " Interview is only part of a application and I will take what we spoke to the admissions team. We will then review your application holistically and let you know of a decision in 2 weeks. Your result can be admitted, wait listed or denied admission ". Is this the standard response after interview or is she preparing me indirectly for a not so happy result?

Please advice- ANY insight on what your closing statements were will go a looooooong way in healing down my anxiety

No I was told the same exact thing and accepted with $$$ one week later.

Hey BAMBAMBAM- your words came true! I was admitted today... yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! Now I am wondering about scholarship/ aid information- How did you find out about the scholarship? did you receive it in your first email itself or the official mail??

You are not alone. I am an international applicant for R3 as well.

Do you know when should we expect to first hear from the school on whether we would be extended an interview, waitlisted, or rejected?

no, I applied R2 (consortium) and received an interview invite yesterday. I am going to decline it, however.

stern's one of the most competitive programs...it's acceptance rate is the 5th most selective. i definitely think they've been very careful about who they invite to interview...but on the flip side, it seems if you get an interview invite, your chances of acceptance are really high. i don't think i've seen anyone interviewed who was dinged after (not sure on that though).
