Hi all, it's been a long time since I posted, but I've been lurking a bit and noticed there's no UCSD thread for this year. As a current first-year who is loving it, I'm here to say that in my humble opinion, it is totally, completely nuts not to have anyone applying here. I know we're currently unranked and that's a big deal around here on GMATclub, but expect that to change soon - we fully anticipate having accredidation by the time you graduate (and likely by the time I graduate). Our alumni network is about 400 strong - modest until you consider that we are in active contact with all but three of them, and they keep hounding us because they want more ways to be involved (quite a departure from other schools). Our class size is 60, which means that you don't compete for access to anything, but the same opportunities are there that you'll find at any other b-school in the region. For those of you looking at UCLA and USC, come down and pay us a visit. I'm one of two representatives for my class on student board, so I'm fairly involved in the goings-on and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have (in-thread or by PM).

P.S. it's about 75 degrees right now. Everyone's outside in t-shirts. Just, you know, FYI. Good luck with your apps, GMATclubbers!

Hey cyrez8, congrats on the acceptance and the $$$! I've met a handful of the admits, and they seem like a solid group. I'll have a clearer picture at admit day, when I get to see everyone together in action. Will you be attending?

Hi Ryan, I am considering whether to throw my hat in for the Fall 2010 intake or to apply early for the 2011 intake...

Work Ex: 5 yrs, consulting experience as a project manager with various big names across the country, spent about 2 yrs working in other countries (India, UAE) and now lookin for an MBA program that can help take me to the next level...

A big $$$ a school can offer is an important factor for me and was wondering if its too late in the game for UCSD... any suggestions?

I just received an interview from UCSD and was wondering if you guys could share your experiences during the interview. What kind of questions (worst/interesting questions)? What are the interviewers like (I know they are admission members)? friendly or not?
