Guys, dont know if you'll have come across this but daring to sound silly:
Have ull noticed that the space we have after a full stop or a comma in our essays is also counted as a word in the word doc. In that case for a 300 word essay, we can actually save upto 40-50 words if we eliminate those spaces.
Considering we are going way over the limit in a 300 word count essay, wont it be useful to make use of this or can we not have imperfect formatting??
NEVER do that. You have to have a space after full-stop. They will never accept this kind of huge errors. Think about it this way, you can also reduce the word count by eliminating all articles(a,an , the) but can you do that?
Dont even think about these things. Look at you essays carefully you can easily cut 20% without changing the meaning. I just reduced/edited my Kellogg essays from 700 words to 600 words in one hour. Put in a little hard work and edit it.
By the way I can tell you from my experiences that all my best essays were short. The shorter the essay, the better it comes out.
Plus none of the other applicants will use these kind of tricks so anyways they will not accept poorly formatted essays. So focus your energy somewhere else. Hope it helps.
