IN! Wow. Got a call at about 4:15 EST. East coast, 700 gmat, 3.4 top public, 3 years w.e. at matriculation. Best of luck to everyone else, I'd imagine calls will continue to go out tomorrow

Congrats to everyone!!! I got the call today as well.  Woohoo!!!! The call came in at 4:35 EST, no $$, and I'm from the Midwest. Here are my stats (at matriculation): 26/M/750/4.0 GPA/4.0 Years WE in engineering For those still waiting, try not to worry too much, tomorrow will bring more calls

I'm IN! WOW! This is surreal. 8 hours back I got the UCLA-Anderson admit and now I get a mail from Kelly informing about my admit and how because of the time difference she could not call me up personally. It's a great way to start a day! Some info about me: Indian/IT/Male GMAT 730 Q49/V42 Career Focus: Digital Entertainment & Tech. Good luck to all the other R1 applicants.

I am IN too! Received an email - not call - since I am an international applicant.
The instructions stated the need to confirm the receipt of the email. For fellow international applicants, any advice on how do I confirm that? Do i reply to the sender or I need to do that via the friend of umich site (but my status is not updated, i presume it wld only happen on 15 Jan @ 12 EST?).

I just checked my status and it said I was waitlisted.
I declined due to my admission elsewhere. So I hope this opens a slot for someone else out there.

Ari123, while I agree Ross doesn't appear as sensitive to wanting to be loved, i think they really want you to understand the school and prove you did your homework. I think the 30-line text box asking how you've interacted with the school demonstrates that.

Or even what they do with our apps once we submit them. The only thing we know that if you got an admit then whatever you did worked. By the way in that 30-line box I just wrote 5-6 lines. I just wrote the name and location of the event I had attended. What did you write? Just curious.

At Ross event I attended, former member of student adcom said he / she was "annoyed" by or "did not like "those who did not interview on campus (if no prior visitation and clearly had means to do so). take this with a grain of salt, but i'm definitely going to interview on campus if i get an interview.

I'm not so sure. I also submitted January 4, but I got an interview invite on January 13. Maybe there is some other rhyme/reason?
