I'm toying with the idea whether or not to apply this year.
Questions for you guys: 1. Is Ross young applicant friendly? (2 years of WE at matriculation if admitted) 2. Are Malaysians underrepresented at Ross? (I wonder if that helps/hurts my chances) 3. Is applying in 3rd round as an international student an uphill battle? 4. How is Ross doing in terms of BB IBD/F500 CF placements?
Thanks. 1. In general Ross is pretty open in terms of age. In my classes we have people from 2-12 years of work experience. Generally, the shorter the work experience, the higher the quality of the work experience should be. 2. Yes, In general, south east asia does not have very large numbers. Unlike China and India. 3. In general Round 3 is not a good round as there are fewer spots 4. The employment report should have more data on this. In general most recruiting are Fortune 100 or private firms.

I would just like to add to #3. It doesn't matter if you are a domestic or an international applicant. Unless your GMAT is north of 740, one of your parents is a CEO, and/or you are well-connected (to the Dean or one of the most popular professors), applying to any of the top 15 schools in R3 will almost always result in a ding.

Could I ask how could I check my recent status on the webpage? From the date I submitted, my status has been like: "Payment accepted, data sent, received, and confirmed!" But I saw some people said that it need to change to "under review" or so, is that normal?

Even I can't find a page that shows the current status. The app still appears editable to me. I had to quickly look into my inbox and find the email that said "We have received your application for the Full-Time MBA program and look forward to considering you for admission to the Ross School of Business."

Thanks. Can see Quote: Status: Payment accepted, data sent, received, and confirmed! Also the note there explains the situation well: Quote: Returning to a form that has already been submitted does not affect your successfully submitted forms

I helped a friend apply to Tepper last year in the 3rd round. She had an 5-year old GMAT score of 700, only applied to one school, and rushed through her essays. I was literally editing it for her a day before the deadline and having it thrust on me at the last minute, I can't say I did the best I could. Still, she got in. So if you are what they are looking for, getting in the 3rd round isn't impossible.
