I am Ted Mosby, Ross is the chick in green and Wolverine Access is Barney Stinson. Lol I talked about HIMYM, The Big Bang Theory and Dexter in my interview. No wonder I was denied :P.

Lol. I don't mean to laugh at your predicament but that had me chuckling pretty loud. It's a pity they denied you. I'd enjoy having someone like you as a fellow classmate :(

I was waitlisted today after applying and interviewing during R2. Are all applicants who were granted interviews but not accepted waitlisted?

Already overanalyzing my odds on the waitlist. As others have said, it's somewhat better to still be alive, but it also feels like being shot in the gut and left to bleed out as opposed to the decisive finality of a ding headshot.

Any insights would be appreciated. Congrats to those accepted, condolences to the rest of us who weren't.

And I am waitlisted .- Was never called for interview.
Had an odd mail sometime in last week of january saying some documents were missing. The receipt of missing docs they acknowledged in first week of Feb.

Now what does this mean? am i pushed to Rd 3 without my app being reviewed or there are others in the same boat who are waitlisted without interview?

I spoke to a current student at ross who was also waitlisted. According to him, almost all of the waitlisted candidates last year were admitted.

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but there were 472 applicants, who got wait listed last year... And only 131 of them were accepted. The 27.7% conversion rate is very good, but it's far from being "almost all". I just want to make sure that people remain hopeful but manage their expectations appropriately.

As an R1 waitlister, who got the call in R2, I want to wish the waitlisters all the best. Take advantage of the opportunity to submit an update because I think that's what helped me get in.

Haha. My Internet service has issues with GMATClub, so I can only access the website using my phone. Because of this, I cannot change my avatar. I still have a lot to consider, but there is a possibility that I will be opening up a spot for one of the waitlisters soon. :)

Are you set on Ross? If so, are you attending GBR?

I'll be at GBR, maybe we can talk about pros and cons of Ross and force each other to make a decision!

I'm still waiting for decisions from some other schools. Ross is a GREAT school and I like it very much.
I will see how it goes when I get decisions from other schools. I have a pending busines travel in April so I don't know if I can go to GBR or not.

If you know that this is the Ross forum, what makes you think that your question will be better addressed here than at the Kellogg forum?

I am a little perplexed!

explorer21 - my problem is that GBR and BDW are on the same weekend. I'm so glad that I've declined Jonhson's offer because DJ (Destination Johnson) is on the same weekend as well! These schools really don't want their admits to have the opportunity to check out their competitors one last time before committing!

mustin2012 - good luck! Ross is absolutely a great school, but you deserve to get a chance to decide if it's the absolute best fit for you.

AshforGMAT - the Ross WL numbers are from BusinessWeek. I don't think Kellogg made those numbers available to BW.

Bro, exactly the same has happened to me, as well i.e waitlisted without interview and had some missing documents which were only then completed by January 26 or whatsoever...

Interesting, but better than direct rejection, right ?
