A friend of mine received an invitation on friday. Today she had her interview....

Hey everyone,

I've been lurking around here, watching out for peaks in Stanford invites - however the process is as random as it seems! I received an interview invite yesterday (on a Sunday PST!) :)

The interview should be done by March 12th.

I have a 760 on the GMAT, and come from a management consulting background (global, highly renowned firm). Undergrad was tech-focused in a local university with an excellent rep.

Hope this helps!

How come this is the most inactive forum on GMAT club? Only 30 something pages when compared to 100's of pages on other schools. And another interesting thing- only our friends and friend's of friends get interview invites from Stanford.

thanks, just asked because it seemed like a few earlier invites were from outside the US.
Although there have been a few invites from within the US as well.

Not that the order of invitations (or lack of) really makes any sense.!

Maybe because we're on a forum instead of saving the world :) Or Stanford scours the forum to know who not to interview. dun dun dun. rumors!

Does everyone's application switch to "Under Review" at the same time, or does this only happen when they start reviewing your app?

If it is the latter, and it has been "Under Review" for over a week with no interview invite received, is it safe to assume no invite will be on it's way?

I think mine went under review much after everyone else on this forum. Or maybe it was that I just never bothered to check.

Where do you see it say under review as opposed to submitted? Any clarity on where this would show up would be helpful.. Doubt it means anything but curious what you guys are talking about. Thanks!

For my application it says
---------------------------
Submission Status: Submitted
Submitted Date: 1/XX/2012 X:XX:00 PM EST
Your application is complete and currently under review.
---------------------------

To the best of my knowledge it has always said exactly that! Don't really know if it has any meaning but heard other people talk about it. I definitely don't mean to spread any rumors.

What did I say? Why isn't anyone responding? Doesn't everyone's application status say what mine says? Curious.

Mine says the same thing as yours and has said that since it went complete. There has been no change.

Mine says the same. What's all the worry over what the app status says?
