Had my interview yesterday on campus. Lasted about 50 minutes. Felt more like a conversation. Questions were pretty basic, wanting to know more about your resume and such.
1. Tell me about yourself (then asked specific questions as I talked) 2. Why MBA now? 3. Why Tepper? 4. Teamwork experience? 5. Talk about a time when you made a member of a team do something he/she may not have wanted to do? 6. What can you contribute to Tepper? 7. Short term, long term goals. 8. Leadership?
But all jokes aside, just thank them for all their help and guidance and assure them that you will do whatever it takes to facilitate a smooth transition. I am leaving in early May and my boss was grateful for 6 weeks notice. If they genuinely care about you or your career, they should be happy for you and wish you luck.
As an icebreaker though, I said "I have good news and bad news...the good news is that I was accepted to an MBA program, the bad news is that its a full time program". (Its sort of casual between me and my managers so you may not want to take this approach.)

Hi,
Does anyone know that the interview intivation schedule? Is there any interview invitation wave conducted by Tepper, or just case by case(means there is no specific time)? I received the "your application is under review" confirmation letter one day ago.
Thanks. International student in Taiwan
They will give the full list of open interview timeslots if you are invited to interview. As far as I could tell when choosing my interview time, there weren't really any discernible "time waves" -- it was really just a matter of finding times that were still available.

Hi all,
I received an interview invite this past Monday via email. I believe they just issue the invites as they read through the applications as some people indicated having received their invite 10 days earlier. I was specifically encouraged to attend the Women at Tepper Visit Day so I scheduled my interview for then. Interestingly, my application status has not changed in the system, it just says submitted and I did not receive an email confirming that the application was under review. I wouldn't put too much meaning into it either way, maybe some admissions directors update the info and others don't?
If I find any particularly good information about the nature of the Tepper interview, I'll be sure to share.

I had given up all hope and was resigned to a complete washout this application cycle but finally I have an invite from Tepper! The interview is scheduled 2 weeks from now.

This wait is killing me....... Any idea whether a ding is notified immediately or only on the decision date??
Hey I know how it feels. I'm in the same boat as you, from India and have high hopes for Tepper... Well lets say had high hopes. Lets see whether things still go through or not. Good luck !!
I'm a very untraditional candidate (Theater undergrad, work in Luxury Sales in Hospitality). I've started a blog on my experience of going to Tepper Biz School at CMU (studying for GMAT, pre-matriculation, first year, second year, etc). Would love to get some followers and input. I know when I was applying, I felt like there was no one in a situation similar to my own, so maybe this could be of a resource to someone, or also an outlet for any other Tepper grads looking to commiserate about our experiences.

you were waitlisted in round 3?
Yes -- I applied late, was interviewed late. Thought I bombed my interview, too. I stayed in touch with Adcom though, and updated them with additional materials.
Congrats, are you going to accept it then
Thank you! And yes, I just accepted. Best of luck to you!
