I just had my Interview with Cindy McCauley. Interview started with she apologizing to me for making me stay awake at this hour. She mentioned that she didn't go through my application on purpose, and she would record whatever I say and use it for the evaluation purpose. The interview was more of a conversation type. She asked the following questions
1. Run me through your resume
2. Why MBA?
3. Why Tepper? Short term goals and Plan B
4. Tell me about a time when you showed leadership skills. Which particular skills did you have to exhibit?
5. Tell me about a time when you had cultural differences with a person. How did you overcome them?
6. Tell me about a time when you relied on some other person to get the work done. How did you convince him to help you?
7. Tell me about a time when you didn't have enough resources to do your job and you had to ask for help.
8. Tell me about a time when you took a decision which affected some other department. How did you cope up with them?
9. Any questions for me?
Overall, the interview went for around 25 min. She was in San Francisco, conducting an info session. I guess she was in a hurry, but she managed to get to know about me as much as possible. Interview went well, much better than the mocks I gave.
All the best for others who are yet to be interviewed. My tip, just stay confident. Interviewees are trained to make you feel comfortable. So no need to feel nervous. Just make sure you give the best examples of your experience for the behavioral questions.
Thanks,
Tharun
