This is what the HBS admission blog had to say:
HBS Admissions blog wrote: today we sent out our first batch of invitations. There is not a regular schedule for sending these out — several days may go by before we send another group. It's also worth repeating that there is no plan or pattern to the sequence of invitations.
Well, they say they have sent out their first set of invitations. God only knows how may of these sets they have.

Every time I read about an interview invite in the BW forums, I feel my chances of an interview are gone. It sends me chills down my spine and makes my hair stand up.
Anyone else on pins and needles?

My dorm is literally 10ft away from the Admissions office. Would you guys like me to walk over and ask?

Not only that, you should just go over and tell them to save some of their time and admit all us GMATclubbers, because we're really, really cool, and all ridiculously good looking.

Me too. Everytime I think about a school, I manage to find a reason to not go there. So in the end, I decided to do what every self-respecting Indian does - apply to Harvard. Count me in for R2. That completes my portfolio for R2 - Harvard and Stanford .. easy as that! I am planning to mention this in my application, "Not afraid to take risk. For example, only applied to 4 schools, and three of them were H/S/W."
ps. All the best to the R1ers. Succeed and then guide R2ers.

I am also actively looking at Harvard. As for the risk factor, I am far better than what you are. I applied only to Stanford in R1.

What do you guys recommend:
How have you experienced culture shock? (I am thinking of using the basic idea from my Wharton's "outsider" essay .. although there's a clear difference between being an outsider and experiencing a culture shock)
or
What global issue is most important to you and why? (I am afraid that this essay may drive me into saying a lot more about the issue instead of about me. I know that this topic shows my thoughts, but I still feel that this essay runs the risk of being too superficial - Much like Columbia's essay 2 on the 21st century business)
ps. I think the "Global issue" essay was asked specially for riverripper. Too bad he ain't applying.

From what I read abt this, use the global issue only if you have done significant work towards the issue and possibly can tie it to your career vision.

Well, I visited the dreaded BW forums and this is what on e guy who received an invite had to say about the hub in India:
Quote: India: Dec 3 (don;t mean to freak anyone out, but this is just another reason to believe that these pages will change : only 6 slots available in India of those 1 is taken)
