Well I signed up for my Tuck interview in Hanover for right after the R1 deadline. I didnt want to worry about it before. I am actually doing a class visit w/out an interview and then going back a few weeks later for an interview.

I think that's a nice approach. You will have enough time to digest all the info you get during the class visit and then will come up with meaningful questions and answers for the interview. Good luck!

FWIW, I just went to the Top MBA Tour in Frankfurt and talked at length with Amy Mitson, Tuck's Associate Director of Admissions.
I'm impressed. Very. Amy was exceptionally personable without any of the attitude that reps from certain other schools have. She was actually fun to talk to which allowed me to let down my guard and talk about some of the more personal aspects of who I am and what I want to do - stuff that you usually don't get to at an MBA fair. Obviously she told me all about Tuck that can be conveyed at an MBA fair and I'm most impressed with what I heard.
I hadn't planned on applying but now I'm not so sure... I'm at least going to learn more.

That's for those who could not/did not have a self-initiated interview on campus. Internationals mostly.

On BW one guy have got his invite this week. People there say that Tuck usually sends out interview invites within 15 days from submission.

I spent a hour at a Tuck event talking Sox with the Dean, I think everyone else was getting annoyed because they wanted face time and all he wanted to do was quiz my Sox knowledge. I want to finish my MIT essays so I can then finish my Tuck essays.

Hmm.
Tuck just coordinated my transcripts, etc all together...
so hopefully i'll hear something from them.
regarding interview invites... there's no specific time frame when they give out interview invites. could be from October 11 until December 13...
but you've got to love their ad coms and all.. so helpful..

Folks,
Should I sport a suit n tie for the self-initiated interview or is a blazer and button up good enough?
Any tips?

I am wearing a suit for mine but I am not going to do a class visit that day. I dont think I would want to be in a suit all day for a class, lunch, tour and interview. I signed up for a visit in a week or so without an interview and then will be going after R1 for an interview. I am going to talk to them on my visit about my interview, I dont think they will mind that I dont want to do a class visit that day too.
