This means bleak chances of an interview invite from TUCK

On the other side, if we take a closer look to the schedule, right now are going applicant-initiated interviews for Round 1, deadline for EA was on October, 10.

Yep, and it's been almost a month. So I'm not really holding out hope anymore...if I get it it'll be a huge suprise.

If i get one this late, I'm throwing a party ....
Well, looks like the boat is sinking fast...
Good luck to those applying R1 and onwards. Hope you have a better outcome than me. All the best.

Had my interview yesterday [#permalink]
09 Nov 2007, 07:18
There were 15 of us interviewing yesterday. And every guy (or gal, there were only two of them) was applying to Harvard, Tuck and Columbia, except me of course!
Three of us were Indians and as expected from the High-Tech industry and most of the other interviewees, unsurprisingly, were from Investment Banking and VC background.
The interview format was hurried. The 2nd year student who interviewed me had to go for a class at 10:15 and she literally rushed through my interview. I honestly dont know how effective the whole process was. May be it helps from the POV of showing your commitment to the school if you went all the way to Hanover.
I got to sit in a Managerial Economics class (may be the first non-science class since middle school!) and it was fun!
Off to writing my final essay. I can see that Tuck is a long shot for me but the experience was worth it!

All quiet for me, don't think any e-mails will go out today since it is Veteran's Day.

So, how does the Tuck process work? I've submitted, so am I waiting on an interview invite now, even though I completed one on-campus?

Naah, if you already had a self initiated interview, you just sit back and wait for the release of final decisions.

Scholarship Application [#permalink]
20 Nov 2007, 13:19
For anyone that applied R1 what did you write in the Scholarship Application? I'm having a hard time figuring out what I should write. I was thinking of writing about a volunteer experience, but I already wrote about that in my essays so don't know if that is a good idea.

I am in the impression that one should write a brief biographical sketch within 500 words. Are we expected to write any other essay?
If you are talking about the biography, then I do not think it should be any issue if you write the same volunteering thing that you wrote in the application, because if that is an important part in your life then it can't escape from the app essays and must feature in the bio too.

Scholarship deadline [#permalink]

Did anyone miss the scholarship deadline. I totally could not get to it. Does anyone know if that will affect my application that I submitted for R1?

For those EDers - a seed of hope.
A Tuck student upon my request addressed the admissions committee and received a reply that there is no set deadline for interview invites. Interviews may be requested up to the point when final decisions are released.
