I went to the diversity conference and applied throught the consortium. You do have to apply to the diversity conference (as you do at most schools). However, I'm not sure how selective it is. The only school I heard of where people got rejected from the diversity conference was Yale, but I think that was because they keep it small becuase they cover travel costs.

what exactly is this "consortium?"

Check out cgsm.com Essentially it works like a clearinghouse and passes your application on to the schools you select. You write three essays that go to all schools and then two school specific essays (depending on the school). One of these is demonstrating your committment to the mission to raise the number of underrepresented minorities in business. You can get a full scholarship from a school through this. If there are schools that you are interested in that are part of Consortium and you can demonstrate a committment you should consider it. I think there are info sessions is large cities in the fall.

Let me know if you want more info.

When can we expect to hear, do you think? Do they call or email for admitted students?
