So mini-crisis averted! I just looked at the transcript I submitted with my app earlier this week - I miscalculated one of the semester GPAs. Called Tuck, they were super nice and let me resend a new document! they even emailed me to tell me they reprinted the new transcript and added it in to my file! they really are very friendly

Is anyone submitting the scholarship essay?
Please write a short biographical essay, no longer than 500 words, telling us about yourself. Noteworthy topics may include: • Undergraduate degree and honors or awards • Extracurricular activities (volunteer, leadership, sports, etc.) • Work experience
Was wondering if we could reuse the essay material here.

Looking for input on Essay #3 "most difficult criticism or feedback". Would it be unwise to use feedback that I received when I failed to carry out a task I was responsible for? It's not a failure essay, so I'm weary of using that example. However, my story is about a time when I failed to take care of something but was able to remedy it in time so that there were no consequences. My supervisor then gave me feedback which I acted on. Good idea or not? RF

Was wondering if we could reuse the essay material here. I'm currently working on that essay. I'm just giving a bird's eye view of my life including a little bit of everything they ask for without going into a ton of detail on any specific thing. I'm sure that a little bit of stuff is recycled from my other essays, just not discussed in as great detail. For instance, I glance over the job that I held where I received the criticism that I discussed in essay 3 and how it led me to the next phase of my life. I'm having a pretty hard time with it because there's so much to say and I don't know what they want to hear since the question is purposefully vague so I'm just cramming in as much as possible into 500 words. Hopefully it won't look like word vomit all over the page when I'm done with it. But we'll see what happens over the next week or so and how it develops.

RF I think its totally OK to describe a failure incident as long as the focus is on the feedback you received. How did you react to it? How has the feedback helped you in your career/life since then?

I tried something similar to that as well. It's just really long - 800+ words. I'm going to give it another look this weekend when I'm less tired. Maybe something will gel then... cereal255 wrote: prospect wrote: Is anyone submitting the scholarship essay?

I agree that it's painful. But it could also be worth it someone ends up with a nice fat juicy scholarship offer. And what's 500 more words in the grand scheme of this whole process anyway I suppose. (I'm only applying to two schools so it might be worse for a lot of others)
I just wish that I knew if I were in or not before I had to write it... that would be nice for sure.

I just found this website: http://wikituck.com/I think it was just setup because most of the pages are empty. However, if you use this link: http://wikituck.com/Wikka/wikka.php?wakka=PageIndexyou'll get a list of articles (some are just placeholders). I think as time goes on it will be a useful resource! RF
