Has anyone who interviewed with foster R2 heard back from them? If so can you share your experiences?

Thanks

Hi Huskerfan,

I applied R2 and interviewed back in December with someone from the admissions committee in NYC. We met in a hotel lobby, and the interview lasted about 45 minutes. It was pretty casual and I didn't get any super tough questions, but I left with mixed feelings. I stumbled and rambled a few times, and didn't get in everything I was hoping to.

All in all, I went in feeling I had a strong chance at admissions, and left feeling iffy about it. I could be over analyzing the experience, but I didn't do as well as I hoped. Oh well - decision deadline is on Friday...keeping my fingers crossed!

What about you? Have you interviewed? What are your stats?

hI,

I posted this OBO freind. She had her interview in dec too and waiting for results. Was wondering if Foster will wait until friday to announce the results or if anyone has already started to receive communications in regards to their admission.

Thanks

I called the admissions office on Tuesday and they said that there is a slight chance that some applicants may hear back today, but more than likely it will be tomorrow.

Best of luck to your friend.

I applied to Foster in the 3rd round (Jan 15th deadline). Anyone else who applied in the 3rd round? Also, those who applied in the 1st and 2nd rounds and those who have received a decision, can you post when you applied, your status and other details? BTW, how long does it take for the "Track your Status" page to get updated? My page says that none of the items have been recieved or complete. How long does it typically take to get an interview invite after the deadline? Ok, I will stop here - too many questions at once.

Let's keep the Foster Fall 2010 thread active so that we all know what's going on and where we stand.

Thanks.

Hi garun77,
I had the smae questions of how long it takes for the status online to be updated. For me it says "No current status. Please check back later" It is still not updated for me.

Hey Gmatter111,

That makes two of us, but irrespective of any status update or lack thereof, I heard from adcom. that the interview invites will start going out in 2-3 weeks. Hope this helps.

Cammijc,
How many days in advance did the Admission Committee let you know regarding the interview date?

Thanks!

As a Rd 3 applicant to Foster, I would like us to keep this thread active. Rd 1 or Rd 2 applicants: Can you post when you applied, when you interviewed, interview questions/experience, what the decision was, if you are matriculating or not, your profile, and any other relevant details? This will help those (including myself) who are eagerly waiting to hear back. Thanks.

Just curious...did any of Round 3 applicants see any change in their status online?

I got in during R1 and looking back, the status shown on the application site is usually wrong or really late. If you have any questions or concerns I would contact Foster staff. I did this a couple of times and it was fine. Good Luck!

I would not worry about the online status change, but what I heard was that the interview invites will start going out 2-3 weeks after the submission deadline. mrvegas: When did you get yours? Are you planning to matriculate? Congrats on your admit!

Thanks! I am matriculating. I requested an interview for one of the event weekends (because I live out of town and this was the only time I would be able interview in person), so I don't think I have the exact answer you are looking for. They only require a resume and gmat info to request an interview.

Thanks for the update, mrvegas. I did not get a chance to do the "early interview" thing, so let's see if I get an invite to interview. Can you post your stats, if you don't mind? Mine is 31/M/710 gmat/3.3 gpa/7.5 yrs of exp.

Gmatter111 and westsew: Just FYI, I got an email that says that the application status will be updated by the end of this week.

I very well know stats are just one part of the puzzle, but your response made me feel old at 31 :)
