Haven't heard yet either. I checked the UCLA MBA Blog entries from last year, and they released "small" batches (i.e. not all) of admits 2 weeks and 1 week before the official notification date.

Awesome insight! There is still hope! :)

I called, too, and (Ronnie) told me that all decisions would NOT be posted until 3/31. I also spoke to an MBA consultant and he told me not to worry b/c I didn't get my interview until late in the process and that if I get in, I'll similarly be toward the end of notification period.

They seem to admit 2 x #matriculate = 720, and there are 3 functional rounds -->they will admit 240 (approx) in Rd2. It will probably take them a few days to make that many calls, and they are closed Friday... so I'm holding out hope for a call Mon/Tues. If no call by Wed noon, well, then I'll try to marry rich. :)

Cheers,
GSR

PS If others want to call UCLA to confirm or try to get additional info, the rest of us would certainly appreciate it: (310) 825-6944

Just took a look at last year's blog posts, and it's very reassuring. If they follow a similar pattern this year, maybe we'll see a blog post in 2 hours or so saying that they released some early decisions.

The best part is that in both posts about early releases last year, they say that no decision means you are still up for consideration.

I also happened to catch one of the old 2009 blog posts while looking back, saying that R3 is a great time to apply to Anderson (in 2009) - so the whole R3 discussion we had earlier in this thread (speculating that maybe they were looking for R3 applicants because of low R2 numbers) is kind of moot. I guess Anderson is just more open to R3 in general compared to other schools.

Honestly, I don't even know what to think right now. Just got off the phone with admissions and they said my fellowship is high by even their standards. My GMAT was solid but not ridiculously high - plus I've taken it 3 times in my life. AND I have a few C's in my undergraduate grades, including my first Finance class!

MBA insider blog:

"This morning we released a partial batch of admission decisions to a subset of our applicants. If you have not received a call from us today, do not despair. Inclusion in this early decision releases is not determined by application timing or by ranking and is impacted by the multiple reads applications receive and by the interview schedule.

We will release the remainder of the round two decisions on our official release date of March 31. Also, if you have applied in round three and are wondering when interview invitations will begin, we expect to start extending invitations in early April.

Adrian Aguirre
Associate Director of MBA Admissions
UCLA Anderson School of Management"

That's kind of reassuring.... Except that I interviewed really early, so I don't want to read into the "interview schedule" comment... Oh well... Hoping for the best!!! Good luck everyone :)

Thanks man :-D Yeah I had to give it my all since I was lazy and only applied to one school. Took a Manhattan GMAT class to raise my GMAT and then hired a consultant to get some focus on my goals and what picture to paint. It wasn't painless but looks like it worked out in my favor.
