Count me in for R1 .... I have not yet started with my essays but hopefully soon I will...
am an international applicant and financing my program was quite important to me. I am very relieved by this decision and this has helped me to decide. Found the following in the MBA blog:
August 09, 2010 - UCLA Anderson Announces New International Student Loan UCLA Anderson is pleased to announce it has finalized an agreement with a new lender to provide loans for incoming international students. (Returning students for the 2010-11 academic year will continue to be covered through the UCLA Foundation's ALPS loan program.) We have loans available for international students without US cosigners availalable through the Eli Lilly Federal Credit Union (ELFCU).
The program is competitive with the rates and terms of other leading loans in the market.

I am also applying to UCLA Full Time MBA program for Fall'11.
Your take on the essays ? Have any one of you started working on them yet ? And what other schools are you guys applying too ?
Hi IP,
Overall I like UCLA's essay prompts a lot. I think 750 words is a good sweet spot for #1 and #2 -- also the questions aren't too prescriptive so you have flexibility to elaborate how you wish. The audio/video #3 will be interesting as well. A nice break from essays, albeit time consuming since I plan to do more of a slideshow with voiceover.
Looks like we're applying to a few of the same schools. Feel free to PM me if you feel like bouncing around essay strategy ideas. Good luck!

I was wondering how people are looking at the optional video asking about what people would be surprised to know about you? Should it be very structured like an essay, or more informal?

Count me in for FEMBA 2011. Is there a seperate thread for that or should we use this thread only.
Hey the UCLA threads are traditionally shorter + I think the FEMBA application is fairly similiar to the full time. We're better off keeping the same thread
