Scheduled it man....UNC should assign atleast 2 alums in a city imo...There is huge alumni presence in india....

I submitted my application on the 14th, but still no update.
Since I graduated from school in the states, I qualify for the TOEFL waiver, but the status still says "TOEFL missing".
I'm guessing they haven't started reviewing my application.... *sigh*

I made a big blunder in the application. I have written kennan flagler instead of kenan , once in the essay. Got a score of 760 and 39 months experience as a consultant in TCS .pretty impressive extra circulars and I run an NGO. Anyone has an idea of how big my mistake would effect my chances. I had a good interview.

IMO, that should not be a problem...it is just a typo, does not mean you will be penalized for an extra 'n'...

I had a Skype interview on the 29th October. My interviewer was John Hughes, assistant director of admission, UNC KF. It was a very standard interview and he gave a lot of insights into the program itself, just after the interview. He does it in a very friendly and interactive manner, makes you have a frank conversation with him and no questions that really put you on the spot. He has been a CEO and an entrepreneur himself. I would like to begin with wishing all of you All The Best. Doing an MBA is a very crucial step and I hope that Lady Luck shines on you.

I have an Skype interview scheduled but unfortunately I lost the email id who I am supposed to add for the interview. I will be very grateful if anyone of you could share the Skype Id with me. As far as I can recall it was a very generic name, eg. MBA@unc.edu or something.

You really have nothing to worry about. I did such a blunder last year in a school app. Got interviewed and admitted as well. No biggie.

That is the skype ID for UNC interview. All the best.


The above Skype ID is correct, but the interviewer will call you on Skype directly and if the interviewer is a director, they will call you from their own Skype ID.

Which do you guys think is the best way to go? Alumni or Skype? I'm living in Asia so the time I scheduled for the Skype would be in the very late night.. Like 11 pm.. What do you think is better? Skype with the admissions officer at 11 pm? Or a local alumni in the sunday afternoon..?
