But good luck to you all, you may think the task is daunting now, but it pales in comparison to actual b-school.
I was thinking about this the other day after daydreaming of being done with applications, admitted to XYZ dream school and how my life would be so great then....oh yeah, except then things get really serious and the stress level will increase 10 fold.

This year you should prepare for a behavioral interview in addition to the regular admissions interview.
Egad! So, there will be TWO interviews (one, possibly leading into the next at a later date given how you fared) or a single interview with part-standard, part-behavioral questions?
Thanks Xerox!

For the benefit of all, would you please share some insights on interview preparation? And on modified interview at Wharton?
Thanks

I interpret that as ONE interview, with both a behavioral and "regular" lines of questioning.

That's always been the case at Wharton.

Anyone else having trouble focusing at work? I can't stop thinking about the day of reckoning, imagining myself logging in to the website and seeing the ding/invite.

Ha ha! Same here, I'm already readying the rationale if I don't get called for an interview on the 29th: I submitted 3 hours before deadline, bottom of pile, so November 5th.
I can't focus either. I'm so anxious to know whether I will land an interview invite.
(It's almost more nerve-wracking than waiting for my CFA exam results or GMAT scores).
I have spent 9 months of my life in this state so far (especially after Wharton waitlisted me 3 times before they closed off the class this summer, and I am about to spend 3 more. This process will redefine your levels of patience in many ways and I think I matured to some extend over that period of time. My tips for the wait - focus on your work, your R2 applications, and anything else that will take your mind off if waiting. Pretend you are never getting an answer and just ignore your pending applications until a pleasant surprise pops up in your mailbox. One thing you can do if you are not working on R2 - practice your interviewing skills, find a camera, pick the top questions asked and record yourself.
We have set up a GMATClub interview groups system where 2 to 5 club members can practice interviewing each other via Skype: gmatclub-interview-groups-85902.html#p643929 . Invite several buddies and practice together (the group takes turns to ask questions while one person answers for 15- 30 minutes. The interviewers jot notes and provide feedback in the end). You get to see both sides of the interviewing process, catch your flaws, and learn from others.
Either way, just relax - you'll never get this time of your life back, so use it productively (and steer clear of the Business Week forums - they could make you a nervous wreck ).
Thanks for the interview groups tip! For now I'm busy hunting around for a good price on a made to measure suit.. looks like a new suit out here is going to set me back $750 or so

I work in investments so a nice suit is a requirement anyway. Haha.
