so if you find out online will it just come as an e-mail saying that your status has changed or will the e-mail say that you have been admitted?

The e-mail has always been generic for me (go check your app) and sometimes late. My Wharton and the app site are the most reliable way to check.

A friend of mine said that a lot of WL's were pulled off last year. Here's hoping for the same this go round.

Hey everyone. Do any of you have a sense of the percent of R1 waitlist applicants in prior years who were accepted, rejected or waitlisted again? I was told by someone (may be speculation) most R1 waitlisters are moved to the R2 waitlist but wasn't sure if that was true.

It was a consultant I spoke with. I'm not sure where he received the intel or again, if it was just speculation. I guess we'll find out in a few days.

Thanks, MBAgirl2010. When did Wharton notify you last year about the school's ultimate decision? Also, do you feel the number of people waitlisted was higher this year? Looks like there were more R1 waitlist candidates this year, but this may have just been that more people participated in the poll.
