As difficult as it might be, I'm going to try and avoid this thread until the final day of invites! It's nice that Wharton is pretty upfront about how the process works (i.e. random invite order, multiple reads could negate early submission etc.) but three weeks of checking email constantly is definitely nerve wracking.

Just got an interview invite 5 hours ago! Submitted my app on 30th Sept Does anyone know what the chance of getting admitted is if you're shortlisted for an interview?

Can someone with an invite post the stats for open slots by region?? Would be very helpful in tracking the invites as they go out. Thanks! Posted from my mobile device

I got my interview invite last night. I also applied September 30th. I've heard that getting an interview means you're in (roughly) the top 40 percent. Does that sound right?

Posted from my mobile device It is very tricky to do that exercise for Wharton as most of the interviews are done by Alumni....It's not like HBS where you have on campus or HUB and that's it...wharton has the alumni network interviewing for them...so your guesstimate will come short

thanks for replying anyway! No problem...actually, HBS is kinda unfair in their interview system because they make you travel...They have no HUB in Latin America for example, not even in Brazil which would be very handy for me, If I get an interview invite for R2 I will have to fly to Boston, or London to interview The rest of the schools allow you to do it in your local city or at least in a major city in your country with alumns

Received my interview invitation yesterday.
My application was submitted on 9/29. I am not sure though that submission time has any impact on the date of interview calls. Do you know how important is the interview in the whole process ? Is it just an additional component to the application or a decisive factor ?
Good luck to all,

A friend of mine applied and was dinged two years ago. His impression of the interview was that, much like the GMAT, it's a hurdle. It probably won't make up for any serious weaknesses in your application, but a disastrous interview will most certainly kill your chances. (It was my friend's opinion that he failed to really connect with the interviewer.) Fortunately, I've heard that the interviews are very straight-forward. No trick questions. I scheduled my interview for the third week of November. I'll be sure to post my impressions of the process. Good luck!

Invites are not sorted by pools.
While the readers are working through the weekend, the IT staff is not, so updates will not come during the weekend.
