Did you do anything to get off the waitlist? no, the adcom asked us not to send anything else so i respected that. just sat tight and waited it out...

I got in and received a $40K (over two years) fellowship. I did submit the fellowship essay. No phone call, just the email circa 1:30 PM ET.

Count me in as well. The high number of admits who got into H/S leads me to believe there is some yield management at work here which could be promising. Just sitting tight. Posted from my mobile device

Now that the R2 hype is over, here is my view of what is going on. Second year in a row my school adds a ton of applicants to WL in R2. I think the strategy is to make R3 more competitive (WL guys are indirectly entered to R3 as the limited number of seats available after R2 goes either to R3 applicants or wait listers), and increase overall acceptance yield, while at the same time keeping the quality of the incoming class at predictable sky-high levels. This is definitely great for Wharton's brand. We are becoming even more competitive, more selective, academically and professionally stronger, and more diverse. This increases the value of Wharton MBA even more. The fact that last year's acceptance yield was phenomenally high, the school is probably testing if the approach will produce similar results this year. Conclusion: it will be ever harder to get into Wharton, and WL is definitely not a bad place to be in. Keep it up, WL!

Also, who in the world would I talk to about this? from the others' experience, i'd say give it a try. i guess you'd speak with admissions first and tell them that while Wharton is definitely your number one, it's hard to pass up a full ride at another school and you just wanted to see if there was any way that you can be reconsidered for grant money. if they say no, they say no, but at least put it out there for them to consider. i'm sure that after april 6, there will be some admits offered $$$ who will turn it down to attend HBS or Stanford, that should free up some fellowship money itself.

I havent since a single post on round 3 applicants.I would really apreciate if anyone has any pointer. The round 3 "invitation for interview" decsion emails are being sent out from April 6th through April 13th.Just wanted to know if anyone has received an invite. I applied on the day of the deadline and have been going crazy checking my email. So i called Wharton and a super nice person called Lisa told me that they are sending out invites on a rolling basis. So presumably if you applied late you can expect a late invite. She told not to worry because they are going to send out a whole bunch of invites on Monday and Tuesday so thats when we should worry. Either way, Tuesday we'll find out. Good Luck!
