Ninkorn,

Congrats! I'm really dying to see some of your essays (and I'm sure others are as well). You should post them in the vault after the R2 deadlines have passed in the next week or two.

congrats ninkorn! however you can still get money from booth and kellogg so hang in there! (Unless that won't matter anymore)

Yale's core seemed extremely intriguing to me as well. Please let me know how well they execute it it if you end up there!

Ninkorn, you rocked the house on apps this year! Congrats! 30k plus the Yale brand = ain't nothin' wrong with that.

Definitely interested in what your essays were like. I have a feeling you will be able to give lots of great advice to people who are applying next year.

You post reminds me of that quote from Apocalypse Now:

Quote:
"If he joined the Green Berets, there was no way he'd ever get above Colonel. He knew
what he was giving up. The more I read and began to understand, the more I admired him. His family and friends couldn't understand it, and they couldn't talk him out of it.....

He could have gone for General, but he went for himself instead."

Very mature decision on your part.

<minor digression>

Now that was an awesome movie. The book Apocalypse Now was inspired by, The Heart of Darkness, has been one of my favourite reads.

Ninkorn, did they confirm the name of your scholarship? I was perusing what they have on the website and was just wondering which one you got.
