I think the colleges let you know officially if they ding you. So, if no mail on ding, then surely not dinged, but invites to Indians have started and my guess on the chances of getting an invite now, a month post the application submission, is as good as yours.

I don't think so - Just a few days back admissions said most of the applications hadn't been viewed.
Almost impossible for them to have finished them all in a week!

For Indian applicants, are interviews generally conducted Yale SOM India receptions ( This year Delhi reception is scheduled for 15th Nov and Bangalore for 16 Nov) or should we expect an alumni interview beforehand ?

Theoretically, we're all still in the game, but not sure how bright the chances are. It's like in a game of tennis, we are 2 sets down and trailing 1-5 in the third. We certainly haven't lost, but really, what are the odds...

Hey,

I have not really been following this thread but I get the sense that people are feeling like there is little chance of getting an invite if they have not received one yet - I could be misreading some of the posts.

Is it still early in the Round 1 evaluation process or have most of the invites gone out?

I don't think there's cause for concern overall. If you look at last year's numbers, many more invites should be sent out in Round 1. The schedule's just a little different this year it seems.

Also, there's some concern about Indian invites, but I'm not sure what that's about. The posts above probably provide better insight into that.

When is the final decision date of interview invites this year?

From last year's thread, it seemed most invites were sent out by Oct.

Don't give up yet! It's just middle of october.. and we will be notified if dinged right? so We still have hope!

It seems that they will start world-wide interviews from late Oct/early Nov.

Usually the interviews are not planned around the same time as the India receptions but that could be the case this year (not sure though). In the past the interviews have been done by the Adcoms and I am assuming that Adcoms would be the ones conducting them this year as well, but approaching alums (if you know of them) couldn't hurt.
