Me too. Any word on when the application will be up? I was a little disapointed to see that they did away with the old interview policy.

I'm in for R1 too.
Good thing about their policy change is that Darden's aiming to increase its intake of international students. That should be good news for many of us here.

Hey Everyone,
I am a first year at Darden and remember being in your position last year. Things here will be busy but if you have any questions or come for a visit feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to help. There are a few others from GMAT Club who are here as well so there should be plenty of resources. Best of luck.

I got a silly question about the first essay
What matters to you most, both personally and professionally, and how does an MBA relate to these priorities?
Do we write about only one thing that matters to us most in the whole world or
one thing that matters most personally and one thing that matters most professionally?
I am already starting to experience analysis paralysis.

Vikramjit, I am in the same boat as you. Though I have not yet started on my Darden essays, but the first thought that came to my mind was whether I should write about separate values or something that encompasses both aspects of my life.
But I think it should not matter if we follow either path as long as we can connect them/it to a Darden MBA. Any other opinions ??

Good to see you as well - how is everything going?
Darden's 1st week was a lot of fun - the work load was pretty tough but the experience thus far has been awesome.

I guess the most straightforward answer I can give you is: "Write about something that is really close to your heart". I truly feel that whatever we do professionally is in someway linked to what matters to us personally. Everything we do (professionally and personally) is a reflection of who we are as a person. Also, you'll sound a lot more 'honest' when you talk about something personal.
