OOh Boy. powerpoint is indeed a killer. They say dont repeat the info but how the h*ll we find more info. The ECs and accomplishments are already coverd in their respective section on the online app. + Goals and and professional life is covered in goals essay. Not sure how you guys are filling 4 ppt without repeating _any_ info thats already there in application or resume. Any suggestions from sucessful candidates. Thanks in advance!
Yeup. I think the only truly unique thing that you can talk about in ppt is your hobies but again four slides of hobies is kindda impossible to put together. I thnk i will go with lata's approach to keep my ECs on ppt (even if it turn out to be a little overlap of info).

Chicago Booth will accept recommendations up to one full week after the January 6 deadline (up to January 13). With the holidays so close to our deadline, we wanted to remove some of the pressure you may feel in having your recommenders submit on time. So as long as you click "submit" by the deadline (January 6 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time), we will accept your application as part of Round 2 even if your recommenders are a few days late. The one caveat, however, is that we cannot start reviewing your application until we receive both applications.
I still need to get one more rec.

Does anyone have any sample 4-page pdf/ppt that I could use as a reference? I am done with mine but wanted to make sure that I am not way off par. Also, if you would like to see/review my 4-page within the next few days please PM me and I will send you the pdf. I would love a critique from anyone that will put in the effort.
Thanks!

PS: I would love to do the same for anyone else.

I focused on visually complimenting the very long and wordy application. Thus, most of my pdf's are pictures with a few words captioning their meaning. Here are my slides:
1.) I have a slide on all the cultures that I have seen through my travels and the experiences I had. 2.) Slide on all things that have influenced me (e.g. family, authors, bands, teachers) 3.) Snapshot of my life right now. 4.) My projected future. (some overlap here but much better visual layout on where I want to be over the next 10 years)
I understand that they touch on broad 'categories' that have been discussed in the app. However, I made sure to only put in specific items that were not discussed within those categories within my application. Hope this helps.
PM me if anyone wants to swap pdf's and critique before the due date!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sean: Good morning. How long does it generally take for interviews to get scheduled after the second round application deadline?
Eddie: Invitations for interviews will begin after 1/20/09. If you choose to conduct an alumni interview it can take a few days for you to connect to one of our alums
Were you able to add a recommender after submitting the app? The reason I ask is,I'm done with my app but one of my recommender is unreachable by both ph and email.I might need to another one after submission.

While I have not tried to do so, I think you can....
Because even after submitting my application, when I login, I'm able to see 'send a reminder', 'delete this recommender' icons.

If you claim you are exempt from taking the TOEFL because you graduated from an institution in which English is the offical language of instruction you will be required to provide evidence to support the exemption.
I am claiming an exemption based on my undergrad institution having English as the only language of instruction. What kind of proof are they asking for and where in the application can I provide it. I do not see any place where I can submit proof/ more information. Maybe some internationals who applied for TOEFL exemption could answer my question. Thanks

I don't know exactly, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it bugs you just call teh school and ask what they need.
