I got this email today, with the subject line "Chicago Booth Waitlist Update"...
Thank you for your continued interest in Chicago Booth. As you are aware, our decisions for the third round were released today and at this time your status of waitlist has not changed. The third round, much like the first and second, was extremely competitive and although you were not admitted I want to assure you of our sincere interest in your candidacy.
At this time, we would still like to keep you on our waitlist for consideration in during the summer months. During the summer months, the Committee will continue to review waitlist candidates for admission as spaces become available in the class of 2012. We will release decisions every two weeks starting Wednesday, May 26th and will continue this process until our incoming class if full. While we hope to enroll as many waitlist candidates as we can, the possibility does exist that some students will continue to be on the waitlist through the summer.
You are more than welcome to visit Chicago Booth at any time, though this is not necessary and will not directly impact your admission decision. In the meantime, we ask that you stay in touch should you choose to make other plans and no longer wish to be considered for a spot in the Class of 2012.
As we continue with the Admissions process for Fall 2010, please contact our office directly via e-mail regarding any questions you may have (
admissions@chicagobooth.edu). We appreciate your patience during this process and wish you the best.
Sincerely,
Rosemaria Martinelli
