i think tomo is the day when ppl will start getting i/v invites...historically its the friday when they start sending mails..

They usually start sending out the invites 2 weeks prior to the notification date. However most of the invites ( around 99% ) come 2 days before the notification date.
I feel early invites might come from Monday 17th Oct onwards.

They will first send the final decision to the R3 applicants today and then on monday start to invite Sept R1 people for interviews. Does anyone know whether the "ding" can come early as well?

I guess you are right.
