Any body heard from Stanford?

Any guesses on the % of invites which go out? Have gone out?

The same situation... still no news from Stan... On admissions411 there are 6% interviewed (this is only 5 applicants). But we can guess that there are more than that. Gosh, let us get through  I promise I will be a good boy :P

There are about 15 or so applicants to Stanford from Gmatclub. Statistically atleast 1 or 2 should get or have gotten interview invites. The lack of activity completely puzzles me. Does it mean that Stanford hasnt sent out many invites yet or are we all heading towards a similar last year's performance ?. i hope its the former !!!! man this wait is depressing me

yeah, it's strange to me that people are getting invited, but no one from GMATClub has heard anything yet. I find that hard to believe. Maybe Stanford's process is really random, or we're all just not up to their standards?

I am glad I didnt bother with my idea of maybe toss an application into the Stanford ring for R2. I wouldn't be surprised if this years admit rate it insanely low even by stanford standards.

yeah, I wish my target schools were more like yours River. If Kellogg suited my future goals better, I would have applied there in R1 and save Stanford for R2 instead of the other way around. Now it seems Stanford is a goner, and I still have an uphill battle with Kellogg in R2 (if what the adcom said is true about 200-400 applications in R1 and 2000-4000 applications in R2).

No way thats true. I would say that maybe 1,200 in R1 to 2,800 but not 200-400 in R1. There are 100 or so on admissions411 alone and you can't honestly think that one in four people applying are on there. I will try to get an answer for this at admit weekend.

river, definitely check on that number. That is what the adcom told me directly at an infosession. She may be exaggerating a little, but I don't know why she would "lie" to me.

Thanks! :)
