After doing a spring clean of my apartment - I found some of my old MBA mail and stuff. Guess what I found: A Thank you note postcard mailed to me (good old fashioned snail mail) for applying to a school. Which school ? NYU of course !! .. A little gesture, but certainly unique (I have applied to 5 other schools as well who didn't bother).

Tough luck gmat_march & nupur. Stern has been a real tough nut to crack this year.
Only one admit so far from the "club". I am sure bsd will make it 2.
Good luck to others.
Now that Chicago GSB is done, I will have to step up my efforts to get out of the WWI list.

I'm considering visiting Stern (and New York) the week of the 3/31. I'm waitlisted and want to show my love :kiss

to the school. That week happens to work well with my work schedule, but I also realize final decisions for Rd2 are released on 4/1.

Do you think this would be a good time to visit?

I don't think that is the true final decision date. I remember getting admitted after April, having interviewed at the end of March. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me though. And WL follows a whole different way at any school, so I think you can use it as the base of sending a letter about how wonderful it was or what have you.

If you are visiting, let them know. Phone them and ask if they can set anything up. If not, and you want to try with Stern going forward (next year, whatever) I can happily meet with you to try and give you a feel for the school.

Which reminds me that bsd is in town soon. I better get in touch with him.
