Thoughts on unofficial visit of UCLA

Checked out UCLA by myself for 2-3 hours on 9/21. Just wandered the buildings, peeking my head into offices and talking to the staff. In short, THIS SCHOOL IS QUITE AMAZING! It's probably one of the worst marketed schools out there, as their website is kinda confusing, they never sent me their viewbook after 3 requests (even though they had them sitting in the admissions office, and no one in the office is willing to refer me to alums or students because "they were on summer break" (what kind of excuse is that?)
Anyway, I was really impressed by the facilities, how nice the staff was, and the entrepreneurship program. The school is mostly student club run and all the students I've met are friendly, very helpful, and nice. One guy who was supposed to meet me but couldn't last minute, called all his friends to see who's on campus and kept on apologizing about not being able to meet with me. He did find one of his friends who was working the pre-term orientation that day, but she took 10 minutes out of her crazy schedule (she was doing some charity challenge planning for the next day too!) to talk to me. That was a very nice gesture!
I'll be there again 10/8 for the infosession, class visit, campus tour, and meet a few more students. Will report back then!
