I'm antsy...any tip for this interview?....already have two admits but would really like to get into Anderson From all the chatter on this thread, Clear Admit Wiki, and BW, what I've gathered is that you REALLY need to know "Why Anderson", because UCLA, as good as it is, is often used as a backup school for people who are applying to other elites. Other than that, it seems like any other B-School interview. Know why you need an MBA at this point in your career, be clear about why Anderson fits your particular needs so well, and then be prepared to throw in how you personally will contribute to the Anderson community. At least, this is what I've gleaned, and what I will be doing in my interview. And if you already have two admits, it sounds like you may already know what you're doing! What generally constitutes how you will contribute personally? Club participation, class participation, something else?

Me too! I am flying in on the night of the 22nd into Burbank, rather than LAX (flying JetBlue is ever so much nicer than flying coach on the other major airlines), and I have my interview at 11:30 AM on the 23rd. I signed up for an 8:30 AM class in Entrepreneurship - figure the professor won't mind terribly if I have to skip out early for my interview. After my interview, I'm meeting someone from the Arts and Media Club to chat for a bit, and then I plan to stroll around campus and poke my head into buildings, using Kryzak's tips listed earlier on this thread as my guide. How about you?

NC, that was definitely one of the most "unconventional" responses I've seen from someone who got into a top 15 school. but CONGRATS! Just try to make the Sunday A-Days (today), the rest is not that useful. K.

lol, didn't mean to sound ungrateful about my admit. I just came home from AA after having a fantastic time at GBR. Frankly, the UCLA email just kind of distracted me from the festivities by giving me something to think about. kryzak wrote: NC, that was definitely one of the most "unconventional" responses I've seen from someone who got into a top 15 school. but CONGRATS! Nice...couple that with the CA residency and it becomes a sizeable amount...i'd think. Good luck with your decision. ncprasad wrote: 10k/yr. kk.iyer wrote: Any $$ involved?

that is true, since Ross charges $43K for out of state and UCLA charges $30K. That's a pretty big difference unless you get $23K/year from Ross.

I hate to say it prasad, since I'd rather see you at Ross with us, but I don't think I could give up the money and location advantages of UCLA if I were you. It isn't like you are choosing between Ross and say UCSB (or some cali school with a little known MBA program).

But, what about rent and cost of living in the LA area. For a 2 bed apartment, I suspect it will be in the range of $1700+ whereas in AA, it will be half that rent. Over a period of 2 years, AA's cost of living pretty much evens out the tuition advantage. Is there anyone with a different opinion? kryzak wrote: that is true, since Ross charges $43K for out of state and UCLA charges $30K.
