Mmmph. Dunno about $$. Supposedly you are still eligible for scholarship $$ in R3, according to their website. CHON, who did you interview with on campus?

Quick question........
Any intern. Round 3 applicants on here (btw, I live in LA now, and was even a UCLA grad student - science related)?? Just wondering since I sent in my application 2/1, and got an email (with some questions) last week - seems that the adcom got to my application 3 months after I sent it to them....
PS: Congrats Chon!!! .....and good luck to the others! I'll cross my fingers for you guys!

CHON wrote: uphill...i interviewed with a y2student....really conversational interview...lasted about 45mins. Hmmm. Mine was adcom. When I sent her a thank you email the next day, got out of office reply stating that she wouldn't be in until the following Monday. Wonder if that will hold up my decision...argh...

congrats to everyone who got accepted.
i just received notice that they decided to put me on the waitlist... i'm a little depressed now. my being 34 probably doesn't help in the group of very qualified applicants. i'm not sure what more i could do now.
my interview questions were primarily about interactions at work ... less about the general questions like "what would you do if..."
I only had 2 of those questions... i'm not sure if that's a bad sign.
i'd love to talk with those who got accepted to see if i'm missing anything.

has anyone haerd any updates yet? I'm still mulling over my UCLA admit....I still dont know if i'm receiving any money or not, and I have about 30k/year from Notre Dame, which I'm finding very hard to turn down. Do you guys think I should call up Anderson and maybe pressure them into giving out some funds before I make a decision

Alas. Ding for me. And so ends my business school quest. Many, many thanks for all of the help and encouragement I have received from you all over the past year - this is a dynamite community of people, and I am incredibly grateful. Evidently the universe has decided that I can start my production company on my own, without business school, so that is precisely what I’m going to do! And if you think of it over the next few months, do check out http://www.CommonGroundTheMovie.com. Nothing is built on the site as of yet, but check back around the end of July. Business school or no, I say: "Mr Spielberg, prepare to eat my dust!" Best wishes to all admits - knock 'em dead and make us proud!

Uphill, I can't believe it!! It sounded like your interview went really well, and based on others' outcomes it seemed like an acceptance would be downhill from that point. I'm sorry to hear the bad news. I've bookmarked your site, and I'll be anxiously awaiting further developments in a few months. All the best.

WOW uphill....so sorry to hear that. I really thought you'd be joining UCLA this fall.
Regardless, you sound upbeat and optimistic, and I'm glad to hear you're still gonna start your own company.
Wish you all the best!!

ryguy & CHON - thanks guys. I thought I put together a really strong application and interviewed well, but it's been a tough year for even the most qualified among us. Add to that applying in R3 and my age...well, who knows. But thanks for your kind words...

uphill, I feel sorry for your loss. But there is always more than one road to your goals. And there is next year if you want to reapply. Its just been a tough year for joe schmos like us... BTW, my brother is in the movie industry..so if you need some networks, feel free to pm me.
and did anyone in R3 get admitted to UCLA from this forum other than CHON?? I didnt see any activity in BW or other forums for R3 admits especially since the deadline was this weekend.. and R4 seems to be pretty dead.. seems UCLA app season is over..
For WLs like me, I havent heard anything yet...been more than 2 weeks since I gave my interview...there are no deadlines for WL candidates and since its the yield game that will decide whether WLs get in or not, I am trying to find out if we WLs have a chance. I am not expecting anything but a closure is very much needed so that I can move on...I pray someone @UCLA reads this board and have pity on us poor souls.
