Camille Claudet worked continuously through the 1880’s and early 1890’s with the sculptor Auguste Rodin; since there are very few signed works of hers, the inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Claudet conceiving and executing part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period
(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Claudet conceiving and executing part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period
(B) conclusion of Claudet conceiving and executing part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period seems inescapable
(C) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period was conceived and executed by Claudet
(D) conclusion of part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period having been conceived and executed by Claudet seems inescapable
(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Claudet would have conceived and executed part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period

since there are very few signed works of hers, the ... conclusion is ....
Therefore the answer is E as it fits the structure of infinitive form of
"there are few works so conclusion is" .[/b]

Tough one. C sounds too passive, however I think its the best answer.
What is the QA?

My choice is B. This one is tough
Here is one question. Do you need to maintain parallelism in this case (there are... , .. is ..)? Is this necessary in this case? Please explain.
Another question. Should we use "would have conceived and executed" in E? Shouldn't we use "must have been conceived and executed"?
Finally, is it okay to use "the conclusion of C...."
What is the OA.

This is my explanation from a previous post:
A) plain wrong structure. Sounds as if "Claudet's conceiving and executing"... was a conclusion
B) again, sounds as if "Claudet's conceiving and executing"... was a conclusion
C) proper structure with subject + verb + adjective(optional) + restrictive clause (introduced with "that"). Clear and concise it is
D) wrong structure. Sounds as if part of Rodin's enormous production was the conclusion itself
E) "seemingly" is an adverb but yet seems to modify "conclusion" which is wrong. "seeming" should have been used. Also, use of conditional tense "would have conceived" changes the meaning of the sentence and makes it illogical: Since there are so few works of Claudet, the conclusion is that she would have done part of Rodin's work?!

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Claudet conceiving and executing part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period
- inescapable conclusion is not idiomatic
(B) conclusion of Claudet conceiving and executing part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period seems inescapable
- 'conceiving and executing' is not appropriate since we're not talking about a progressive actoin.
(C) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period was conceived and executed by Claudet
(D) conclusion of part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period having been conceived and executed by Claudet seems inescapable
- present participal is not appropriate here
(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Claudet would have conceived and executed part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period
- seemingly inescapable is not idiomatic
C is best. It also gives us the independent sentence that is nescessary for the semicolon to work.

Hi, whenever we express one's conclusion or theory, it would be better to use 'that + noun clause'.
(A) and (B) are inappropriate because both choices use 'of' to express the conclusion. That will make the sentence very unclear.
A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Claudet conceiving and executing part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period
if we omit the participle part, the sentence will become incomplete. It seems to say the conclusion is one of Claudet.
(B) conclusion of Claudet conceiving and executing part of Rodin’s enormous production of that period seems inescapable
B) is the same error. it seems to say conclusion is Claudet.
