the A.P becomes 4, 7, 10....49
Use the formula for nth term
n=a+(n-1)d
49=4+(n-1)3
n=16

Is that in the answer choice?
edit to this... just saw the answer choices are mentioned.. so it's B?

IMO the answer is 17.

gmattokyo you have left 1

the sequence is 1, 4, 7 etc...
