Hey I have 4 years of experience in IT and mostly as a developer. I want to do MBA in finance - investment banking from california USA. Can someone suggest me that as don't have any exp in finance and my qualification is engineering in computer science ( not related to finance), so can I still get the admission in any good b school in California
An MBA from a reputable b-school will definitely allow you to successfully transition from IT into I-Banking. There are quite a few good schools in California that will allow you to make the transition (Stanford, Haas, Anderson, Marshall). You should look at the employment statistics to see how many people each school place into investment banking. Recruiting at Stanford and Haas should be very strong. Anderson and Marshall would be a little weaker, but still doable for the transition.
