Can I fit in some BIG company? [#permalink] New post 13 Sep 2007, 01:54
I’m an account graduate, not that fat to fit in any company. But there is one undeniable truth about me: I’m not good looking and suffer from a major inferiority complex whenever I go for an interview. Even if I manage to find a job in some BIG organization, I still would always feel left out and unconfident. I’m searching for some nice job but am very conscious about my appearance. Any solution?

i would suggest introspection to figure out what exactly it is that you don't like about yourself.

confidence is an attractive quality - being insecure will likely be huge hindrance for you in your life, both personally and professionally.

if you're unhappy about your weight, work on making changes in your life that facilitate improvements in your health and appearance, i.e. diet and exercise.

if it's any consolation, 60% of Americans are overweight, and 30% are obese. so it isn't like you're alone.

is this even a serious post or am i replying to a troll?

So far, i have applied quite a few jobs and learnt from my friends applications as well that most of the time in interviews, first impression counts well. First impression of ur knowledge of the business u r about to deal with and presentaion of urself:mainly ur look.

so, first thing to come in first impression is ur knowledge and confidence.
i would say it is sometimes 50/50 but mostly knowlege(experience)70% and appearance 30%

just be the master of what u want to do!
