I know Montauk suggests sending a thank you note via letter, but email seems much more efficient.

What do you all think?

Email is fine these days...it will get their faster which I think is more important in a way. It is nice if they get it before they submit their review. I think in the modern world email has become a socially acceptable means of a thank you for something like an interview from alumni. If you interview with an adcom a real note might be worth sending.

I plan to, mostly because there is no way a physical note would make it in time. Plus I don't have his mailing address.

I would say that email is the most acceptable and efficient. Even though you could get the address for either and adcom or an alum, I wouldn't want to chance losing that IMPORTANT thank you at the hands of the mail service. And don't underestimate the importance of the follow-up/thank you. With an email, it more than likely won't get lost, unless you type in the wrong address.

I sent e-mails to each interviewer. I'll find out if it's acceptable in a few weeks. :wink:

FYI a lot of emails get lost (spam block, server problems, etc) so....
