hey I took few GMAT practice test and at end I got my score as q39 and v 30. Can someone please explain me that what are these number. I just know that q*9 + v*7 gives me my GMAT score but I don't know that how are these numbers (q39 v 30) calculated

The exact mechanism through which the raw score is generated is not known. However, you can use the percentile ranking table to see the relative merit of the score

e.g. the cutoff for 80th percentile in quant is approx 48 and the cutoff for 80th percentile rank in verbal is 37!
