hey I took few GMAT practice test and at end I got my score as q39 and v 30. Can someone please explain me that what are these number. I just know that q*9 + v*7 gives me my GMAT score but I don't know that how are these numbers (q39 v 30) calculated

The exact mechanism through which the raw score is generated is not known. However, you can use the percentile ranking table to see the relative merit of the score :)

e.g. the cutoff for 80th percentile in quant is approx 48 and the cutoff for 80th percentile rank in verbal is 37!
