Can someone shed some light on how to prepare for the GMAT [#permalink]

Can someone shed some light on how to prepare for the GMAT using LSAT material? Should I read the powerscore book(LSAT Logic Games)? Or should I only solve LSAT questions and train my brain at altitude? Or should I have a coke and a smile?

A lot of LSAT CR are good practice for the GMAT, though they tend to emphasize formal logic rather than the more practical critical reasoning of the GMAT. In my view, they are excellent practice, but only if you have mastered GMAT CR and you want to keep your critical reasoning skills fresh until exam day I'll suggest you practice GMAT first and only then you see whether you need to do LSAT CR or not. Powerscore has a very nice book " LSAT CR Bible" but again focus on GMAT. CR questions are essentially different in CR and GMAT.

I agree with Dimitri92. I used a lot of LSAT CR and found them very useful (they are harder). At the same time it was important to switch back to GMAT CR before exam because reasoning is different and you need to adjust your CR skills to GMAT

so what you guys are saying first master the GMAT CR and then for additional practice use LSAT questions. Am just wondering did you use LSAT material for your preparation and if you did, how did you do it. your info are much appreciated, thanks in advance.
