homefry, try not to worry about that at this point, and instead focus on figuring out which school you want to go to, working on your apps, etc..
once you have your acceptance and decide on a school, then i would simply tell your boss your situation, and perhaps even go above the standards and give him 4 weeks instead of 2. if anything, he should appreciate the fact that you've kept him in the loop from the beginning regarding your bschool plans.

You're right. I'm jumping ahead of myself. I need to focus on getting my apps out strong.

I'm down for a GMATClub Pre-MBA trip!
I'll bring the coronas if rhyme saves me a spot on the couch :wink:


In all seriousness, I am dying to quite my job too. Eventhough this job has really good prospects, I can't stand my new team lead and our manager doesn't give two sh1ts about our team ( he is in UK)

I am considering quitting asap when i get accepted and work some other part time/contract job for money.... :x

anyone tried the seafood buffet at the rio? i still have dreams about it.

well in all seriousness.. most of us wont come to know about all mba decisions till Mar 07.. Cornell if you submit in jan 9th, you get to know in march mid, chicago, and london all the same...

I dont know how many of us are sure that we are gonna quit in may?

I have been to the seafood buffet many times; I like it a lot. The Wine Cellar at the Rio is also great. It used to be spectacular, but it's still pretty nice. They have a full vertical of Chateau D'Yquem on display that includes bottles from every vintage since the 1855 classification.

I highly recommend the buffets at the Bellagio and Mandalay Bay....very tasty!

More than the buffet, I love the Bellagio's NO ONE UNDER 18, NO EXCEPTIONS rule. Not even when accompanied by a guardian. No children at the pool, no kids running around.

Who said it had to be in May? I was thinking June or something. Everyone here will have solidified everything by then. The issue will be how many of you "dissapear" after your acceptances, or after the season is over. How many will remember to come back here to check the site? That is, if you get the last of your decisions in May, and the season is over, will anyone be active in this portion of the site? Probably not.

Maybe the thing to do, if people really are interested in a gmatclub celebration party somewhere, is to gather email addresses and phone numbers and have someone take point on emailing the group closer to the date.

Or maybe everyone will hang around anyway chatting about how excited their are to go to X or Y in which case a thread would pop up anyway.

i am afraid of just jumping the gun here and creating group for us etc... i still dont have any admit yet? i am still applying.. but yeah, i agree if i do get in, i will be there to celebrate it.. we should definitely create group with email ids etc.. who knows our paths might cross later too for some business idea ;)
