Career and Salary Progression [#permalink] New post 11 Aug 2008, 12:12
We all have seen the US News starting salary data, but what about later on? I've seen the Goldman Sachs IB career/salary progression and it's quite impressive. Somewhere else I think I saw a post that state 13% annual salary increases are the norm. Not sure what company, job type, or anything else. So my question is? If someone has information about career/salary progression for the following, can you post it?

Management Consulting

Investment Banking (Yes, the horse is dead, but it won't feel a thing.)

General Management

Add anything else you might have or be curious about.

There are a lot of factors that are considered which are considered in the hike of the salary.

Some of them are:

a. Performance review: Reviews that are provided by your superiors and your colleagues about how you are performing at the job.

b. Number of employees that you manage as a part of your current job because the more members manage, the more worthy of a raise, you are.

c. Your Education regarding the job profile is certainly an important factor in this. The more your qualification match with the job profile, more is the chance of you earning more money.

But if you want to get an idea of how much the company pays at every level of the management, check out the website: !!
