Hjort,
I think the career statistics say a lot about how a B school is doing. And that is usually the first thing I look for while browsing through a B School site. While almost all the elite and trans elite schools claim to publish the career statistics based on MBA CSC standards available at
https://www.mbacsc.org/standards.asp, very few schools provide all the information.
All schools provide this information
1a. Mean salaries
2a. Placement % by industry/function.
Very few schools provide the following information:
1b. % of Students who had accepted offers at Graduation and at 3 months after Graduation for all students as well as for foreign nationals
2b. % of Students placed through school activities
I believe the later to be very imp statistics. Both say a lot about the schools career management centers and the schools standing with the business community.
Among the schools I am interested in - Ross and Tepper have provided very nice career statistics. I have had to mail Smith, McCombs, Goizueta to get the information. I am still waiting for the reply. Carlson replied but provided no information.
Career Journal does publish such statistics for various schools -
https://www.collegejournal.com/reports/b ... index.html. I find it hard to think that the schools have provided CSJ with the data but not published it on thier website.
What do you think ?
PS: Thanks for this wonderful forum !!
