CAT: GMAT Prep vs GMAT Powerprep

Hi All,

Do anyone know what are the differences between GMAT Prep and GMAT Powerprep?
Are they equal in therm of difficulty? What about their content?
is GMAT Powerprep (the old one) representative of the real thing?

verbal tends to be similar. Quants in GMATPrep is a lot more difficult than powerprep.

Don't waste too much time with PowerPrep, it's way too easy and you don't have the sense of the real test.

Do some GMATPrep and then try some Manhattan tests. That'll do ifyou are aiming at some 700.

Hi,

I did both GMAT Prep and MGMAT. I scored the following:

MGMAT 1: 710
MGMAT 2: 700
GMAT Prep 1: 650
GMAT Poweprep 1: 700

How can you explain the diffrence between my score with MGMAT and Prep 1?

hi guys,
I am new here also, have just started studying for GMAT. what is GMAT prep and where can i get it...I am thinking to start with the harder ones so I will be comfortable with the real test...
Could you please explain little bit more?

I would like to know as well. I am aware of one software that you can download from mba.com. What's other one and where to get it from??

When I took the GMAT in 1997, I used the PowerPrep software that cam e with the floppy disks. It still exists on that form at Amazon resellers.

My gresearch shows that GMATPrep is the newer version of this package. With a new system for scoring and a different pool of questions.

However, I can not get a hold of PowerPrep so far. The official site (mba) and gmac have links available only for GMATPRep.

I will keep looking and post here if I get a result.

Meanwhile can someone please comment on how and where to find POWERPREP?
