I get this request often and here is why i am a bit hesitant.

Time is a big factor in doing such a classification. Why dont atleast some guys decide that they will post the source of the quesiton.. this will atleast reduce , if not eliminate , the need for five or six seperate forums.

See, the objective is simply to learn. I thought it would be better to have one forum rather than five or six forums. So, navigation is one issue we considered.

We have done a simple classification for Math, based on level of difficulty. And i believe it was valuable. it is much harder to make that classification for verbal because its much harder to decide which ones are of good quality. to avoid this problem, We started a "Best of GMAT Club" forum. I wanted it to be for verbal so that if the member had explained a concept well, it should be moved to the Best.. section. Still, its possible to do a simple classification based on difficulty level for verbal too.

Finally, no matter how detailed the classification is, our purpose is to keep the community spirit. classifying forums like the way you and others have suggested will cause members to go only a particular section of the forum. this might result in posts being unanswered in other forums. this is probably my greatest concern.
